Still Not Getting Any Album Review

Hello guys! As some of you might now, today, 10 years ago, Still Not Getting Any was released. For those who don't know, Still Not Getting Any is the second full length album by the pop punk band from Montreal, Simple Plan.
I'll talk about the band a bit to start.
The band was formed in 1999, and it's currently formed by Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Jeff Stinco (guitar), David Desrosiers (bass, back-up vocals), Sébastien Lefebvre (guitar, back-up vocals) and Chuck Comeau (drums).
Since their first album called No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls, in 2002, the band has reached teenagers from all over the worlds with their relatable lyrics.
Now I'll talk about the album itself.
The album has got 11 songs, and its style is a pop punk, punk rock style. The lyrics of their songs were all written by Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau, and all the music was composed by the band.
Track by track:
- Shut Up!: this song gives the album a start full of energy. The mix of the instrumental and the lyrics make this song, not just an amazing song, but it especially makes it the kind of song you can always listen to when you're feeling angry. It's a song that everyone can relate, and it's really cool.
- Welcome to My Life: well, this song is amazing, and I've already talked here about it, so I will only say a few things. A lot of people relate to its lyrics, and the instrumental is the best one a song with this kind of lyrics could have. You can check out the post about this song here: http://bandskeepalive.blogspot.com.es/2014/07/welcome-to-my-life.html
- Perfect World: this song has got a music style really similar to the other two songs I've talked about so far, but its lyrics are kind of different. This song is about someone leaving you, and you having to deal with that. As the band says, in a perfect world, those things wouldn't happen. Also, sometimes you think you're strong, but when things turn out bad, you don't know how to get through it, so it's really hard.
- Thank You: oh, friendship. You might find awesome friends that will be the best thing that has ever happened to you, but what if they happen to be the opposite? This song is about that, but, after all, you learn something, don't you? This song is probably one of the most "hard rock" songs of the album.
- Me Against The World: this song's music style is really similar to the last song I've talked about. The lyrics are, as the title of the song says, being alone against the world. Sometimes you just feel like the whole world is against you, but, that doesn't mean you have to be the one who's wrong. I'd like to talk about this song in a post soon, because the lyrics are very interesting.
- Crazy: this song turns out to be softer, but the instrumental is still great. The lyrics, they're about society, about today's society. I think that everything this song says about society, everything its video shows... it all is true. I recommend you all to listen to this song, because every word from it is 100% accurate.
- Jump: this song has got a style similar to "Thank You" and "Me Against The World". The lyrics are about not wanting to think about anything, being tired of everything, wanting to forget all your problems. Don't you ever feel like that? At least I do!
- Everytime: this song's instrumental is great, and it makes you feel melancoholic. The songs are about love, about memories of a couple that has already broken up, good memories.
- Promise: this song's instrumental is pretty awesome, and I have to point the awesome guitar solo. The song is about love again, but this one is different. It's about promising everything will be alright if someone stays by your side.
- One: the music style in the instrumental is still following the same "line" as most of the songs of the album, but with the uniqueness of each track. I feel like the lyrics of this song give some sense of comunity, like, it makes you feel like we all are together. I feel like this song kind of put everyone listening to it in the same place I guess.
- Untitled: this song is the softest song of the album, and its style is completely different from the rest of the songs. Actually, the lyrics of it wouldn't have fit any other instrumental. The lyrics, according to something I read is about some friends of the band who lost their life in a car accident, I don't know if that's the meaning of it or not. But, to me it's about those moments when something horrible happens in your life, and you're just like: why me?
Basically, this album is full of deep lyrics with amazing meanings behind each one, but I guess everyone can give each song a different meaning or interpretation, that's one of the most amazing things about music. So, if you have a different interpretation, or you agree with mine, let me know! Also the instrumentals in each song are all amazing and unique.
Personally, this is my favorite album by Simple Plan, and, I'm sorry if this review was way too long, I just have too much to say about it (it could've been longer...). This band really means so much to me, and so do their lyrics. That's why I love them, their lyrics are something that cannot be compared to anything.
I hope you liked this review, thank you for reading it :)
Below I'm posting the video of the song "Crazy" so you can give it a listen:

"Feels Like Forever"

Hello guys! Yesterday, the post-hardcore/metalcore band Of Mice & Men released the official music video for their next single from their latest album Restoring Force: "Feels Like Forever". Have you guys already watched it? I watched it yesterday, and I wanted to write a post about it yesterday, but I had to study for a test, so I couldn't :(
Anyway, here I am doing it! The song is one of my favorite ones from the album; I'd even dare to say it's my favorite one. Well, at least it is the one I listen the most.
I think that this song has a really deep and relatable meaning, I guess. You know, I think, I believe that we all have days that really feel like forever. The feel like they don't have an end, or you just can't see an end of the day. And, the day is horrible, so all you want is it to end. You just say you're okay, don't you? At least I do, I don't know about you. But, I know a lot of people (I dare to say most people) do.
On the other hand, I get a message of hope in the song, I mostly get that message when the song says: "can you hold on one more day?". The message I understand from that is, like, like's hard but you gotta hold on, one more day. And, as the song says: "tomorrow you'll heal".
So this is my interpretation of the song, you can tell me what you think of it, or your own interpretation of the song! Below you can watch the video in case you haven't, it's awesome, you won't regret it:

"Drown"

Hey there! The official video of "Drown" by Bring Me The Horizon is officially out, and so is the song, of course. I'll admit I was surprised, but in a good way! The lyrics are completely amazing; deep and really meaningful, one of the things I love the most about this band :) Also, the instrumental and vocals are awesome! And, the video is perfect, so definitely you should check it out! The music style is different than their old stuff, so I'd like to know what you guys think of it! I really like it although it's different :)
Below you can check out the video in case you haven't:
(I don't know if it'll be avaiable in your country since it's not in some countries)

"Everyone should love themselves"

Hello guys! For today's post I'm using a pick-up line, and I'm writing the post about it. "Everyone should love themselves"; this was said by Trevor Wentworth in a livestream. I don't remember what was said before or after but it doesn't matter now. Because, I'm going to talk about the quote itself.
I think the quote is true. I think the same as Trevor does.
Nowadays, there's a lot of people with low self-esteem, with a lot of self hate, and I think that it's not right. I'm not saying that having a low self-esteem or whatever is that person's fault. It's society's fault. But, hey, no matter who's the guilty here, what I want to say is that, you should love yourself. Sometimes you just feel like you do everything wrong and you feel like you're worthless. Well, we all feel like that sometimes. If it helps you, it's completely normal to feel like that sometimes.
On the other hand, what I think you should do when you feel like you're a horrible person, when you hate yourself, is to try to find reasons not to. Instead of looking for reasons to hate yourself, looking for reasons not to. For example, it can be something you're good at, or something about your personality that you love... whatever. I'm sure there's something, at least one thing you'll find.
I've got an idea for you. I want you catch a piece of paper and, everyday, write one thing you love about yourself. I'm sure you'll find a lot of reasons. And, everyday, read the list whenever you feel like hating yourself. What do you think? I think it's a cool idea, but I'd like to know what you think, and if you're going to do it, it'd be awesome if you let me know it!
If it works, we could do like a project with this, and take pictures and stuff, but I need your help and to know what you think :)
Thanks for reading, love y'all x

"Warriors"

Hello! What's up? The band Papa Roach has released today the audio of the first song that comes out from their new album F.E.A.R., which will be out soon! The song is called: "Warriors".
In my opinion,"Warriors" is a great song. The style of the song is pretty different than their old song and some people are complaining about it. But, here's my opinion.
The sound is still amazing, although it has an electronical sound, you can listen to great guitars and the whole sound of the song is amazing! And the lyrics of it are totally awesome too. I don't know what you guys think of it, but personally, I love the song so much, and I'm looking forward to listen to the whole record. I've been listening to the song in repeat for a long time, and I'm not getting tired of it :) Great job guys, keep it up, you rock!
Below you can listen to the song, and tell me what you think too:

"Adam's Song"

Hey there guys! Today I'm going to talk about a song. It is called "Adam's Song", by Blink-182. I love this song so much, it's one of my favorite ones ever, and my favorite song by this band. I have so much to say about this song, but at the same time I have nothing to say about it.
Mark Hoppus (singer and bassist of the band) wrote this song after read the letter of a fan of this band. It is said that the boy was called Adam Krieger, I don't know if that's true or not, I've read it on the Internet. I've also read which people say was his suicide note, and it's heartbreaking. And so is the reason this song was written. In case you want to read it, this is the link of it: http://life-on-the-murder-scene.tumblr.com/post/20292532956/this-is-the-suicide-letter-blink-182-received-that
Coming back to the song itself, it's based on the letter, but has got an anti suicide message on it. In the part which says: "tomorrow holds such better days", it is easier to notice that. Mark Hoppus also writes his own feelings and experiences on it, because to himself it replects the loneliness of being on tour, and of feeling alone.
The song is just... really beautiful, sad and hearbreaking. I think it shows a lot about the band Blink-182, about what kind of people these three guys that form the band are: good people. In this song, they show they care about people clearly. Also, Mark Hoppus said that after he wrote the song and it got released, which was in 1999, he has received a lot of letters from fans telling him how much that song has helped them through a lot of different stuff... fans telling him they had contemplated suicide but thanks to the song decided not to do it... he said that that's great and was one of the best moments of his life.
Below I'm posting the official video of it so you can watch it:

"Reality Without You (Acoustic)"

Hello guys! Today, the post-hardcore band Our Last Night released the official video for their song "Reality Without You (Acoustic)". It is a really beautiful song, sad, but beautiful. The acoustic version gives it more emotion, and the video fits with the song. In the video you just can see Trevor and Matt Wentworth, but the way the lights are shown and how they're playing makes it all a really beautiful video :) I guess there's not much to talk about the song itself since I wrote about it in the post reviewing Oak Island. Anyway, below you can give this awesome video a try!
