This is so dead.

In the last two months I've post here like 3 posts... that's something that hadn't happened to me in this blog for a very long while and I hate it - it sucks.

However, I have many things going on that will come out soon, and I can say a lot of you will enjoy them. For some of them I need your opinion in order to make you be able to enjoy them.

I'm creating a YouTube channel - it's actually created, you can find it here -, but for you to understand it, there are some troubles. I'm Spanish, so my first idea was to talk in Spanish in my blog, but if I do so, you won't probably understand it since most people who read this blog are from the US. Maybe you understand Spanish, I don't know that though.

Then, I though of putting on subtitles for my videos, but, if there's a lot of people who would watch my videos if they were in English, I could make an English and Spanish version for each video - or even making the videos only in English and with Spanish subtitles (that's very unlikely although it's a possibility).

It's up to you, you choose.

I've also created myself a personal website, right here, where you can find all the things I'm working on & you can be updated.

You can let me know what you'd prefer in the comments below or sending me a message to any of my social networks, see you!

Empty Playgrounds

Today I'm here with a two-piece band that I've heard about recently.

They're Empty Playgrounds, a two-piece band from Spain. It's formed by Adrián Luna and María Quinteto, two young people from Spain.

They met two years ago thanks to social media (in this case, twitter) because they're both fans of the same band, Fifth Harmony, and they ended up meeting in person. They tried playing some covers of that band, and also of other bands like Secondhand Serenade, My Chemical Romance or The Pretty Reckless.

They liked the result, for this reason they decided to meet other time to record a cover. However, María showed Adrían a rhythm she'd written, and he wrote lyrics for that. In less than two hours they had their first song finished, Let Me Just Be Yours, which you will be able to listen soon.

Since then, they started working together, and now they have five original songs that will come out soon aswell.

They play acoustic music, as they say:
"it's just one voice and an acoustic guitar trying to convey feelings".

This is the first song they've released, called América Hundida, which is about Donald Trumps' victory in the US Elections.

I personally enjoyed this song a lot, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on it, so let me know! The talent, they have it. Will they also get the sucess?

Well, we can't know that yet, but they have so much potential!

"Perfectly Perfect"

They did it again. It seems like our guys from Simple Plan aren't happy if they don't make an emotional music video per album.

In No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls, they did it with Perfect's music video.
In Still Not Gettin' Any, they did it with Untitled's music video.
In Simple Plan, they did it with Save You's music video.
In Get Your Heart On!, they did it with This Song Saved My Life's music video.
Now, in Taking One For The Team, they've done it again.

Perfectly Perfect, probably the song that can touch your heart in an emotional way from the album, finally has a music video that we can enjoy.

Following the song's theme, the video is exactly what we could name an ode to diversity. We can watch many couples, but what makes the video as beautiful as it is isn't the fact that they're shown - what makes it so especial is that the people we can see aren't the stereotypes we see in most videos.

We can see straight couples, but we can also see homosexual couples. We can see people with different body types. We can see people from different places, people of different races.

Because all of us aren't white,
because all of us aren't thin.
because all of us aren't straight,
because all of us aren't the typical stereotypes,
because all of us aren't the same.
Because there's nothing wrong about that.
We're diverse, aren't we?

Thank you, Simple Plan.
You've done it again,
you've let us know that it's okay to be diverse,
that it's okay to be ourselves.

Dear Jeydon Wale,

You all are probably thinking: "oh, you wanna talk about Jeydon as if him coming out is gossip".

No, that's not the case.

I want to talk about Jeydon Wale because I'm proud of him, because I know coming out isn't something easy. It shouldn't be something difficult, but it is most of the times. It takes courage to tell the world who you actually are and open up about it.

Now this goes to you, Jeydon,

I'm really happy that you've come to the point where you accept yourself as you are, it's amazing and it draws a smile on my face to hear you say that you're so happy. It actually does.

As a transgender guy, I know all that, I can relate to everything you said and I did tear up because you deserve all the good things that happen to you.

Also, I know how much it helps our community the fact that someone like you have been able to stand up and say the truth: that we're just as everyone else. Because, the more we talk about it, the more natural people start to see it - which is as it should be.

I've read that tweet in which you've said you're working on a project to support the trans community, and as a trans actvist, whatever help you need, I'm willing to help and I'd love to, because that's what I try to do most of the time actually.

You have all my support, Jeydon, we've gone through really similar things after all. Stay awesome as you've always been!

Asking Alexandria's ex-lead singer coming back!?

These last days have been a little weird for the fans of the band Asking Alexandria, but today rumours have been confirmed.

Denis Stoff, singer for the band since Danny Worsnop left, has left Asking Alexandria.

Also, Danny Worsnop, who left the band in 2015, has come back.

Why has this happened? We don't have much information on this, we only know what Ben Bruce has told, which is not much. Basically he has said that Denis stopped talking to them with no apparent reason, and then reclaimed "what they owed him". Ben emphasizes that they didn't kick Denis out of the band.

Their relationship with Danny had improved, even though at first there were some downs. For this reason, finally, he re-joined the band.

Some fans feel happy about this, other feel upset about this, and definitely many don't know how to feel about this. Are you excited about Danny's comeback, or did you prefer Denis? Share your thoughts below!

Here you can watch the video in which Ben Bruce talks about this: https://www.facebook.com/askingalexandria/videos/10154640092260818/

The band Annisokay releases new song - "Loud"

More than a week without posting any post? In any blog? I should definitely apologize about this, but also wasting time saying "I'm sorry I didn't post" is time I'm wasting when I could be talking about music - which is why you're here, aren't you?

Today, the post-hardcore band from Germany, Annisokay, has released a brand new single off their upcoming album Devil May Care, which is coming out October 11th!

The song's meaning can be quite blurry and open to interpretation, however, considering the lyrics and the video I would say that it's basically about how short the time we have is and taking advantage of it to say whatever you have to say, what you believe and think it's the truth - even if people won't listen.

Do you agree, or do you find another meaning to the song? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

"God Save Us All"

The release date of Sum 41's new album, 13 Voices, is coming closer and closer. After listening to two tracks off this new album, Fake My Own Death and War, we could guess that not only they were coming back, but also that they were coming back in the music style that we would enjoy about them.

This time, they've released another song, God Save Us All (Death to POP), that talks about the feeling that gives you rock music - that sense of unity, of sympathy, that feeling that we're all going through the same.

13 Voices seems to be an awesome album, they haven't got softer, and they keep being as amazing as they used to be. Will the rest of the album be this way? Hope so!

My Digital Escape coming back? Not really.

In case you don't know about My Digital Escape, I'll talk a little about it so you don't feel lost while reading this post.

My Digital Escape (aka MDE) is a channel that was originally formed by a group of YouTubers who decided to make a collaboration channel. Basically it was formed by: BryanStars, Johnie Guilbert, Alex Dorame, Jeydon Wale, Kyle David Hall, Shannon Taylor, Jordan Sweeto... and also some people who sometimes collaborated.

However, they broke up like four months ago, the channel remained open, but after the explanation no videos were post.

Until a few days ago, when suddenly a video was uploaded. As far as we've heard, one member of the original collab has bought the channel and re-opened it by themselves. All of this without consent by the other members, which has felt to them like being stabbed in the back - no wonder why.

They're all upset and disappointed, since it's something they created together, and one person is trying to take advantage of it so unfairly and without even asking them.

Below you can watch a couple of videos from some of the members, explaining the actual situation:

"Wake Me Up When September Ends"

September started some days ago, and there's always something that comes along with that - thousands of people on twitter with the hashtag #WakeMeUpWhenSeptemberEnds, and with thousands complaining about that fact too.

Why does this happen?

Wake Me Up When September Ends is a Green Day song, which was written by Billie Joe Armstrong (singer of Green Day) talking about his feelings towards his father's death. Billie was 10, and after the funeral he ran away to his room and lay in bed, when his mother came looking for him, he said: "wake me up when September ends".

Most people who write tweets saying "wake me up when September ends", only say it because it's when school starts, which is why it annoys many people - the truth behind that line is way harder than that and it's not something to joke about.

"Life Changes"

Hello there!

Just today, the pop-punk band Good Charlotte has released a brand new music video for their single Life Changes, coming off their latest album, Youth Authority

Showing us some of their moments while touring, live shows, rehearsals, some moments with their mates... they give the video the feel that life changes, and what the fast life is like on tour.

Well, it seems as though they have a good time there ;)

"Take Cover"

Let's review some music!

Some days ago, the pop-punk band All Time Low released a brand new single off their future release Straight To DVD II, called Take Cover.

There's been some kind of debate about this song, since some fans of the band haven't actually enjoyed it - and other fans did like the song. Well, as usual, right? I'm going to share my point of view on this song.

The lyrical content of the song, I really liked it - the meaning was great on my point of view, talking about the left out and stuff related to that.

The style and instrumental of the song, kind of disappointed me. Even though it's growing on me, it feels too comercial, especially on the chorus. Probably if the chorus was more punk alike, or more similar to the style of the bridges, it would be so much better.

What about you? Which are your thoughts on the song?

Back to School Essentials!

Hello there! September's here, which means that most of you guys reading me are coming back to school in a few days (I guess) - if you haven't yet!

Days like these it's trendy to do a "back to school essentials", and that's exactly what I'm doing - however, I'm doing it in a different way! Musically talking there have to be some back to school essentials, right? ;)

To begin with, the first impression some of us get when coming to school is being scared, isn't it? Especially if you're new, you don't know anybody and you feel lost. Teenagers can actually scare the living shit out of you. This can help along the way!

This song is dedicated to every kid who ever gotpicked last in gym class, to every kid who never had a date to no school dance, to everyone who's ever been called a freak, this is for you!

After all, we're just kids who want to feel like they fit in. High school, and life itslelf can feel like a nightmare if you're all alone... losers today, winners tomorrow anyway! ;)

Also, how can we not talk about how boring high school is? Spending hours sitting in a chair doing stuff you don't want to do with people you don't want to be with most of the time... that's boring to death!

Well, good luck to everyone! Me, I'm not going to high scool since I'm a college guy finally, but I'm still scared to death and figuring out how everything will be. Some music always helps along the way!

Straight To DVD's trailer!

I'm back here with news from less than an hour ago!

The pop-punk band from Baltimore All Time Low has just released the official trailer of Straight To DVD II. Straight To DVD was a documentary full of performances, backstages, stories and basically All Time Low being as they are... anything but normal (in a good way) ;)

If you want to watch Straight To DVD, click here.

And the 9th September, these guys are releasing Straight To DVD, which seems like it's going to be as amazing as the first one, or, who knows? Maybe even better. We won't know until the 9th September. Judge by yourself by watching the trailer that's just been posted, below I'm sharing it!

"Carry On"

Talking about bands that are releasing brand new music, post-hardcore couldn't definitely lag behind, right?

Memphis May Fire, the worldwide known post-hardcore band from Texas, has announced that they're releasing their brand new album, titled This Light I Hold, on October 28th.

In advance, they've shared with us what seems to be the first single off the album, Carry On. The sound of their music doesn't seem to have changed, although some complain that the lyrics aren't as good as their oldest music in comparison.

It seems as though these lyrics complaining about haters, can bring some haters more as well. However, other defend this song and the power that it transmits.

In which side are you?

"War"

Hi there, let's talk about pop-punk! And, since we're going to talk about pop-punk, why not talk about Sum 41's latest single?

As you might know, Sum 41 is releasing a brand new álbum in October 7th, 13 Voices. The first song we got to listen off this new album was Fake Your Own Death, the living proof that not only they're back, but also they're back with the same pop-punk style we've always loved about them!

This new track keeps this style, that turns more to an alternative rock style with a meaning that can remind us to Pieces. Some say it has references to the singer's problems with alcoholism.

Nevertheless, the song itself mentions any kind of war that we might have to face with ourselves, those wars that aren't against other people, it's just those fights in which we try to overcome something that feels like a damn war.

As they say, somedays it's just so hard, but nobody said wars were easy - it's a war after all, right?

Jonathan Young

Hello guys!

Want to go back to your childhood by listening to some music? Do you want to listen to songs that you've likely listened to as a kid in a different way? What about as some rad rock covers? That's more than possible thanks to Jonathan Young!

Jonathan "Young" Fried, a youtuber and musician from Minnesota, in the US, has been rounding YouTube for a long while now, posting covers of many different kinds, but specially covers of Disney's songs! He's covered plenty of songs off films such as The Lion King, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, and so on.

However, there's more! Also, Jonathan Young has his own original stuff.

I'll let you check that by yourselves - you won't be able to deny that he makes amazing renditions of Disney's songs.

Why do we listen to sad music when we're upset?

It's late at night, maybe 1, 2, 3... AM, and for some reason, you end up listening to (what people call) emo music. Well, maybe you don't, maybe you're at a party listening to electronic music and having a lot of fun, but that isn't what I'm talking about, so, let's put that aside.

I'm talking about when it's late at night, you're on your own, feeling down thinking about your life, and you find yourself listening to sad music. It might even sound senseless, because, if you're not feeling okay, listening to sad music? Isn't that going to make everything worse?

You've got a point there if you think so. In fact, sometimes, listening to sad music makes you feel even sadder and, you know, that only leaves us fucked up emotionally - which isn't cool at all.

Why do we do that then? You want an answer? Here it is. (Well, at least this is why I do it, every person is different, but most people I've heard about agree with me in this)

If you're feeling down, it comforts you to know that someone out there understands you, that there's someone out there who knows what you're going through - because that means you're not the only one, that means you're not as alone as you feel. Am I right?

Yeah, you will probably cry a river while listening to those sad lyrics. Nonetheless, it's like when you're opening up to someone and they just say "I know how it feels like, I've been there". Of course you don't want them to suffer, you don't like the fact that they've suffered (I guess), but their understanding embraces you.

The difference is that you didn't have to say a word. The difference is that you do not know that person, and they do not know you. The difference is that you only put a song on. They don't know you, but for 4 minutes 51 seconds, it feels like they know you better than anyone else in this world.

That's enough, that's all you needed. Someone understood you, someone told you that it was okay to hurt, that it was okay to feel all these things. Someone told you they felt the same way you did. Someone told you everything was going to be okay.

Do you ever feel this way? Let me know your experiences on this on the comments below!

"Dragon Sickness"

Hey there!

Today, the post-hardcore band Villain Of The Story, after not releasing music for a while, has released a brand new single, Dragon Sickness.

It's said that bands get softer with time, but this definitely isn't the case! Not only these guys have positively progressed since their earlier music, but also they've become heavier.

In addition, let's take a listen to the lyrics - who hasn't met a person like the one they talk about, who takes advantage of others? Those people can give you a hard time, even ruin your life... however, with time, those people end up alone, because no one wants to be played with. Maybe this would be a nice track to dedicate them ;)

Keep it up guys, I'm sure you'll go far!

"Suffer"

Let's talk about music!

Today I'm talking about the song Suffer, by the post-hardcore band Get Scared. I chose it because I was just listening to it and thought: "hey, it might be cool to talk about it", so here I am.

This song's about revenge. It's about when someone hurts you so badly and you want them to feel the same way you've been feeling all along. You know getting revenge isn't the right thing, but deep inside of you all you want is that person to feel like you have.

It's like saying: "you see it, right? This is what you've done"

Maybe that person has hurt you physically, emotionally, even both. The damage that person has caused you, it can't be repared. You can't turn back time and pretend nothing happened.

"How will I last from all the hell in my past?"
"So many moments that I can't erase"

You're suffering the consequences of what that person has done to you - you wish they knew how it actually feels like.

The expressivity in this track is really strong, mixing screams of desperation with clean vocals that express anger. In addition, the message it transmits hits hard as well.

I want to clarify that I am totally against of revenge as a way of solving any kind of conflicts, as I am also against of any kind of violence. However, I find this song comforting, in a way that it helps let go of all the anger and pain some situations with certain people can bring you.

"Circles"

Hi there! How are y'all doing? I hope you're doing great!

Only a few hours ago, the post-hardcore band Pierce The Veil released the official music video for their single Circles, which is the first music video off their latest album, Misadventures

To be honest, the video is quite weird, but in a funny and enjoyable way! The plot of it is a really cool one - it seems as though they had a great time recording it. Knowing we're talking about Pierce The Veil, this isn't the first video in which they do crazy things and everything gets a little weird.

These guys never disappoint, do they?
