"A World Divided"

Hey there! Today, Our Last Night has released a brand new single and official music video for "A World Divided" from their upcoming album "Younger Dreams", which will be out June 16th.

This new track brings"heavy riffs" as Our Last Night has always had in their music, clean vocals in most of the song but without forgetting some parts with Trevor's screaming! The instrumental does justice of the meaning of the song, and compliments it in a way listeners of the song can really feel it.

What's more, the lyrics bring up a really deep topic that does make you think. The song talks about prejudice, about the "division" that exists in the world because of it. We tend to think that anyone who's different from us is not only wrong, but also dangerous some times as well. As the video shows, a lot of people judge tattooed people and think that they're a bad influence, bad people or dangerous... which is totally wrong and unfair for those people.

However, this problem doesn't only happen with tattoos. Even though we're supposed to be smart, we're supposed to be acceptive and advanced, but that's not what happens. We're in the 21st Century, but racism, homophobia, and judgement happens. People still believe that if someone's different from them it's not okay. Let me say that, as the video shows, parents have a lot of influence (and most of it) here, because that's what kids are taught many times. Acceptance in many fields is growing bigger and bigger, but there's still a long way to go through. As Our Last Night says: "we are the same" - we should start to realize it.

Appearence isn't what you should keep in mind in order to you build your opinion of someone, you should keep in mind who they truly are, their personality, what they do. "Nothing's as it seems", for good and for bad.

To finish with, I'd like to mention this other quote from the song "between our words we could forget it all," that for me means, as I've said before, what should be kept in mind to build an opinion of someone, which would change everything. So many stereotypes only separate us, when we could understand each one another.

I'm pretty sure that the people who judge others according to their appearence, sexuality, race... wouldn't like it to be judge themselves, right? It's time to be sympathetic and open-minded! Let's stop judgement and hate - it won't ever bring anything good.

#StopLGTBphobia

Hey guys! As you probably know, today is the international day against homophobia, so I thought that it would be a great topic for a post here.

So many people usually ask stuff like: "what do you think of homosexuality?", and question of that kind. Basically searching for opinion from people of the colective LGTB+, just saying. Many simply ask the question in order to know what others think of it, but, sincerely, I don't think that an opinion of that is necessary.

We all tend to give opinions about everything, it's something inevitable. Whatever we see, read, listen to... we feel the need of giving it an opinion, of judging it; but, some of them exceed. It typical to see a couple and opine, say if we think they look good together, or they don't, or see two people and think they'd make a nice couple. We've all done that and, there's nothing weird about it. As long as you're respectful towards the other person, unless it bothers them, it's all okay.

Why giving an opinion of two men or two women being a couple then? Wouldn't it be better to have an opinion about that couple as individuals, no matter their gender? Every single person has the right of sharing their life and intimacy with whoever they want, no matter their gender. Why is there hate? Nobody is forced to date someone of their same gender, why are there people who try to convince others to date people of the opposite gender if it's not  who attracts them or just what they want? Every person can live their life their own way, they're not doing anything bad to you to receive that hate.

There are people who say that LGTBphobia isn't even usual nowadays, but just because it's minor than it was in the past doesn't mean that it doesn't exist anymore. It happens in the streets, in high schools, in jobs... too many people hide who they truly are and who they love because of fear, and that fear will cease to exist the day that LGTBphobia ceases to exist. And it's owned by us, and by the people who dialy say comments such as:

"Two men/women kissing? Awful!"
"It's cool to me that they love eachother, but they don't have to show it in public"
"I want homosexuals far from me, I don't want them to touch me"
"Bisexals are depraved, they like everything"
"Being transgender is anti-natural"

I don't see anything bad in love, do you? What's bad is hate, the problem here isn't homosexuality, bisexuality, transexuality... but in the hate shown by the world to those people. It's hate for no reason, a hate that, as every hate, exceeds - and if it exceeds, why not finally eliminate it?

LGTBphobia's end, as I've said, is owned by us. It's time to start to see as normal what it is and realize that what's abnormal is hate. That hate that only brings violence, fear, deaths, suicides... has to end, people need to realize that that hate brings way too many wrong things, and homosexuality, bisexuality, transexuality... don't bring anything bad. Do you think like me?

My thoughts on Austin Jones' situation.

Hell0 guys!

Today, I'm going to share with you guys my thoughts on all this Austin Jones' situation that has had so much to talk about lately.

For those who don't know, Austin Jones is a youtuber and musician from Chicago, who's recently been acused for asking for nudes and videos twerking to underage fans. I have informed myself by seeing the tweets around, the screenshots of Austin messaging those underage girls in order to get nudes, and also videos of him asking someone to take his story off twitter and explaining how to twerk.

I'm going to be honest, I don't like saying bad things about people, I really don't. But these are my thoughts and I can't help them.

Honestly, when I read about all that's happened I felt disappointed, definitely disappointed. I've bought his music, I've watched his videos, and I wasn't expecting that. Why? The first song I heard by him was an anti suicide song, that did touch my heart and even got me crying for a long while because it was so beautiful. He talks about stuff like that, and not only in songs, he's also talked about depression, self harm... and it's always seemed like he cared so much about his fans and stuff. Seeing what he's done just... fucking pisses me off.

Young people looked up for him, and he took advantage of it. I certainly won't defend him because he doesn't deserve it in my opinion. It isn't fair what he's done.

Let me tell you something, I was planning of writing a post about him being an inspiration, now I don't even know what I'm writing about. It's what's on my mind. As I've said before, I don't like talking bad stuff about people. But this is a fact - a fact that upsets me, even though I haven't been a "victim" of it.

When you see someone on the internet, they share their story and it reaches you, their music touches your heart and you feel like a "connection" with them, it's like you look up to them. Finding out stuff like this is more than disappointed and you don't even know who else is like that - who else does those kind of things.

You know the truth? Being honest, after hearing all that I can't like him as a person anymore. I just can't. I like his music, not him, not anymore. That's all I have to say, or should I say want to say.

10 Rock Covers Of Pop Songs You Must Watch | P.2

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing with you 10 rock covers of pop songs. I shared 10 covers of that kind some moths ago as well, so this is the second part of rock covers of pop songs I'm sharing with you guys.

1. From Boston, Ice Nince Kills brings us an unforgettable version of Adele's "Someone Like You", a song that I personally liked the original version. However, these guys made this song epic, and for all rock lovers!

2. With a blink-182 vibe for all pop-punk lovers, Suck it Up makes their own pop-punk version of One Direction's "Kiss You" that will make you enjoy one song that you thoght you never would!

3. Turning a poppy song into a metalcore one, Sergio Rodríguez versions Justin Bieber's "Beauty And A Beat", for those people who said they'd never listen to a song from him, this metalcore will make you re-think that!

4. James FJ featuring David Michael Frank decide to change the beat of Demi Lovato's "Scryscraper" to make the song a rock one and give it a different feeling that keeps the real meaning of the song more adapted to rock lovers!

5. With a song whose original version was pop and rap, One Mile Left have for us an amazing version of Rihanna and Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie" with a very cool pop-punk style!

6. With another radio hit, In Loving Memory turns the song "Unconditionally" by Katy Perry into a rock track which is really catchy one, turning a radio friendly song into a rock fans friendly one!

7. With agressive vocals and great screams, I Prevail brings us an excellent post-hardcore cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" giving the song a 180º turn, changing it for the best (in my opinion) for those people who can't stand pop songs but with a post-hardcore vibe really enjoy them!

8. A very nice acoustic song that everyone has listened to changed into a rock one keeping the original song's feelings can be a great way to make people who hate quiet songs love it with a different beat, that's what Stay Up Late did versioning Passenger's "Let Her Go"!

9. Living In Fiction's own rock version of Maroon 5's "Animals" did not only turn totally the song into a very different one, but also their re-make of the song made it more catchy adding it the amazingness of rock music!

10. To finish with, I liked this song at first without listening to this rock cover. Nevertheless, the rock cover made me love it even more; it wasn't very hardcore, but it's still amazing, here you are Phedora's own version of Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do"!

This is it guys! I hope you enjoyed these covers as much as I did. I have more covers added to a YouTube Playlist that you might enjoy if you've enjoyed these ones! Don't forget to let me know what you think of them and also you can recommend me some more if you fancy ;)

"Over and Out (Outta My Head)"

Hello there!

Today I'm reviewing a song which was uploaded yesterday on YouTube. The song I've chosen is called "Over and Out (Outta My Head)"by Send Request.

Send Request is a pop-punk/rock band from Nanticoke, PA; formed in 2013 by high school friends Andrew Blank, Derek Holminski, Aron Wood and Jonathon Labenski. So far they've released a single via iTunes called "Beyond The Ordinary" which contains three songs. With a pop-punk sound that might probably remind you bands like All Time Low, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Blink-182... and with lyrics about being a teenager and the feeling that usually come with that.

I found about this band searching for covers of the song "The Kids In The Dark" by All Time Low, I listened to a cover this band made of it, and I really liked. Therefore, I started to search more about them and listen to their other stuff as well. That's how I got into them.

Now back to their new song.

Its style is very similar to the 00's pop-punk songs, and the lyrics fit that style as well. The song is very catchy and the video also suits that 00's style of the video in a high school, which I find pretty rad. The instrumental is pretty good and so are the vocals are pretty good as well.

This band is a very good one, and you should definitely give them a try, you won't regret it ;)
