LGBT+ Pride Day

Hi!

Today, 28th June, is the international LGBT+ pride day, as you might probably know since it's been on the news and has also been trending topic on twitter, and I wanted to talk about something I've heard a lot today.

There's a lot of people who completely disagree with the existance of a LGBT+ pride day, and that's what I'm going to talk about.

Everyone has their own opinion, and as long as it's respectful, I'll respect it. I'm not saying whose is wrong or right, I'm just expressing mine.

I agree with the existance of a LGBT+ pride day, because I believe there needs to be one. There's still a lot of LGBTphobia, there are parents who kick their children out of their house for being gay, trans, or whatever; there's bullying in schools for not being heterosexual or cisgender, there still are suicides of LGBT+ youth because of how they're treated, there still is discrimination of LGBT+ people in jobs...

In countries like mine, where same sex couple marriage is legalized, we tend to think that there's no problem anymore, that everything's okay. But, this fight for LGBT+ community rights, for equality, isn't over yet. And, it isn't time to give up the fight, no. This is about human people who deserve to be treated as every human being should be treated. It makes sense to have a LGBT+ pride day since it's time to prove the world that sexuality and gender identity doesn't matter, that we all deserve to be treated the same.

It's time to stop hate.

"Turn The Page"

Hey guys!

It's been a while since I talked about a song in a deep level, today I realized that and just said: "fuck it, let's do that today", so here I am.

I decided to talk about a song by the pop-punk band Amasic, from Montreal. This song is a kind of old one, but, as it's said, gold one. It's from a time when Amasic was still a one-man band formed by Janick Thibault, and one of the first songs I heard by him. It's called "Turn The Page".

This rock track that talks about feeling down, going through a tough time and finding it hard to move on, to, as the song says, turn the page. Lots of times, that happens, to all of us. We get stuck somewhere in the past, and we don't move forward, we just get stuck in there, stuck among all that pain, as if it was the end of the world - when it clearly isn't.

It's about feeling like you're nothing, like no one cares about you, even though you're surrounded by people who love you and care about you, but you just can't see that for some reason.

"Turn The Page" is a song that I relate to in a very personal level, not only because when I first listened to it was like the song that came just in time, but also because I relate to almost every word in it - if not every word.

Janick Thibault is a guy who has an amazing hability of connecting with people by his songs, because his songs are about stuff that people just go through and sometimes we feel like we're the only ones going through that, when that isn't what happens at all.

"Saturday"

Hello there!

It seems like June is the months of bands which haven't released new music in a long while to surprise us with brand new songs! Isn't that great?

I'm talking about Simple Plan this time! After a very long wait to hear what their 5th album will be like, only with them talking about the album without listening to it, but now finally we have an official audio. They've released the official audio for their song "Saturday", coming from their new album which is coming out at the end of this summer!

With very good vibes, it sounds different than what we're used to, but that doesn't mean it isn't great. Actually I love the song, which makes you want to jump and dance non-stop! Definitely will put you into a good mood ;)

I'm back!

Hello there everyone!

First of all, I really want to apologize for not posting in like... more than 20 days which is close to a month, and that's not how often I usually post here. I wish I'd been able to write more this month, but I haven't had enough time, I've been really busy lately.
I don't usually tell stuff about myself here since this is a music blog, but I'm in Grade 11 (well, in my country it has a different name) and I've been doing my finals, what got most of my time - however, I'm back!

I'm back and with news for you. ^-^

To begin with, the post-hardcore/metal band Memphis May Fire has released a bran new single called "Stay The Course" coming from the deluxe version of the album 'Unconditional'. The track is a very powerful one, with a very important message to take seriously! These guys never bring me down when they release new music:

To continue with, the post-hardcore/alternative band Pierce The Veil has finally, and I say finally because it had been ages since they last released some new music, released a bran new single! It's called "The Divine Zero", and it's full of energy - can't wait to hear what else they have for us, if it's like this one, the new album will be more than great:

What's more, news don't end up here! The 16th of this month, the post-hardcore band Our Last Night has released their brand new album 'Younger Dreams', which features the singles "Home" and "A World Divided". It's an amazing album that you should definitely check out, and you can stream it on Spotify as well!

Last, and not for that less important, yesterday, Warped Tour '15 started! After a long wait during winter, it's finally here, and it'll be until August 8th. With bands like Asking Alexandria, Our Last Night, Simple Plan, Beartooth, Memphis May Fire and much more, this year's Warped Tour seems like it'll be more than amazing, doesn't it?
